Our Story

A small, family-owned shop with fifteen years on the same number.

Diane started Trade & Tools in 2009 out of a Ford E-150 and a single landline. Fifteen years and twelve thousand service calls later, we still answer the phone the same way.

The Team

Five techs. No subcontractors. No commission.

We pay our techs salaries, not commissions, so nobody on the truck has any reason to oversell you. We don't subcontract, and we don't farm work to the lowest-bidding contractor — every truck that pulls up to your house is ours.

Combined certifications: 2 master plumbers, 1 master electrician, 2 ASE-equivalent HVAC techs, full liability + workers' comp. Happy to email proof.

Meet The Team

The five faces on your driveway.

Almost everyone here started as a friend of the family or a former customer. We don't run job postings — we just notice when someone is good.

Owner / Master Plumber

Diane Roussel

Founded the shop in 2009. Master plumber license #PL-22481. Mother of three. Has rebuilt every part of a water heater except the warranty sticker.

Master Electrician

Marco Inada

Twelve years on commercial sites before joining us. Master electrician license #EL-19330. Quietest person you'll ever meet rewiring a panel.

Lead HVAC Tech

Jamal Henderson

Heat-pump specialist. Trained at the manufacturers, certified on Mitsubishi, Daikin, and Bosch. Will explain a refrigerant cycle to you like you're a friend.

Plumber, Journeyman

Aria Whitfield

Five years with us, came up through Diane's apprentice program. Probably the calmest person in any flooded basement.

Apprentice Tech

Theo Park

Two years in, working through his journeyman hours. Rides with whoever needs the help. Sharp, curious, and fast at finding hidden shut-offs.

Office & Dispatch

Patrice Lewinsky

The voice on the phone. Schedules the trucks, runs the books, and keeps the doughnut tradition alive.

How We Work

Five rules we don't break.

The values we hire for, train for, and fire for. Not a values poster — these are the ones that come up in performance reviews.

01

Quote up front

You see the price before we touch anything. If it grows, we stop and call you.

02

Show up clean

Booties on, drop cloths down. Your floor is clean when we leave or it'll be clean when we leave.

03

Pull the permit

If it needs a permit, we pull it. Even when nobody's looking. Especially when nobody's looking.

04

Stand behind the work

12-month workmanship warranty on every job. If we touched it, we own it.

05

No commission selling

Nobody on the truck makes more if they sell you more. Quotes are honest because they have to be.

06

Answer the phone

A real person, in our office, between 7am and 6pm Mon–Sat. Off hours, we have a real on-call rotation.
